TCP Fast Open novo recurso em teste para acelera a navegação no Microsoft Edge

Um novo recurso experimental no Microsoft EDGE navegador de internet presente no sistema operacional Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile e Windows Server 2016 permite acelerar a navegação no Microsoft Edge obtendo um ganho no desempenho que chega a 40%.

Este recurso experimental é o TCP Fast Open e pode ser encontrado por enquanto apenas no Microsoft Edge do Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile e Windows Server 2016 apenas disponível para os participantes do Windows Insider Program.

Como habilitar o TCP Fast Open.

1– Digite about:flags na barra de endereços do Microsoft EDGE no Windows 10 ou Windows 10 Mobile e pressione Enter:

2– Marque o item abaixo:



A mesma opção está presente também para o Microsoft EDGE do Windows 10 Mobile.


– Reinicie o Microsoft Edge.

Considerações: Importante entender que é necessário que tanto o servidor como o navegador suportem este recurso.

A Microsoft vai introduzir algumas grandes novidades na Pilha do TCP/IP para Windows 10 e Windows Server 2016 conforme descrição abaixo:

– Suporte para TCP Fast Open (TFO).
– Initial Congestion Window 10 (ICW10).
– TCP Recent ACKnowledgment (RACK) para melhor recuperação de perda‎.*
– Tail Loss Probe (TLP) para melhor resposta de Retransmit TimeOut.*
– TCP LEDBAT para conexões de fundo.
